Description: Parker VH 12 Gauge on a #2 frame manufactured in 1900 with 30" F/F extractor Vulcan steel barrels with small ivory mid-bead and large ivory front bead. Bores are excellent and original measuring .730 right and left. Choked .035 right and left. Chambers are 2 3/4" Barrels ring like a chime. Original blue at 90% thinning towards the breech. Reciever is silver patina with no remaining case colors. It has not been brushed and lettering and border engraving remain crisp and sharp. Screws are unmolested and remain aligned Parker north and south. Pistol grip buttstock was spliced and a Monte Carlo added. I had my stock man return it to original configuration and very well done but the splice remains. Original old style Parker grip cap. LOP is 14 1/4" to a new brown Decelerator pad. DAC-1 5/8" DAH-2 11/16" Added very professional beavertail forend. This gun is a shooter, not a collector, but a damn good one with excellent bores and mechanics. It is tight and on face and will easily go another 114 years. Weighs in at 8lb even. SOLD |
