Springfield 1870 Carbine. Rare authentic Indian tacked. This is a true Indian used gun. 99% of the guns advertised as being Indian guns are actually made up at a later date. This is a real one and it is a rare gun to boot. It is an 1870 Saddle Ring Carbine which is an extreme rarity in Trapdoor collecting as only 341 of these guns were made. The condition of the gun is just what you would expect to find in an Indian gun. This gun has seen severe use. Stock has tacks. This gun is pictured in the book Indian Guns Spears & Shields of The American Frontier by John Baldwin. Very neat original gun!
