Description:
Mauser (Obendorf) Normal sporter rifle, Type "B", 30/06 (U.S. 1906) caliber. All matching serial numbers (833XX). Imported between WW1 and WW2.
23.5 inch round barrel, single trigger, pear-shaped bolt knob, barrel band, five-shot box magazine with hinged floorplate. Tangent open rear sight, bead-on-ramp front sight.
Finely checkered walnut stock with cheekpiece, Schnabel foreend tip, steel pistol-grip cap, and one-inch swivel loops on barrel and buttstock. Wood has been refinished with a hand-rubbed tung oil finish.
85% condition, bright bore; no hood on front ramp. Small crack in buttstock behind upper tang. Comes with leather sling. Unfired in the past 50 years.
