German Sport Guns’s tribute to the HK94 Machine Rifle first appeared in our channels in 2007, as our Guns America shoppers pointed out to us. Here you had a slick made, smooth and reliable-functioning, authentic looking copy of a legendary rifle. Since then, the big names have all introduced well made clones. Colt, Sig, and even HK themselves have marketed rimfires from the same German manufacturer. We’ve even sold a good many similar rifles with the word Walther written on them. The GSG-522, writes the Importer, has the established features of MP5-Style-Rifles, but with visual improvements which also meet a better functional purpose. First the better grip of the cocking lever, second the improved open sights for faster aiming, and third the GSG-522 comes with a removable Weaver Rail, which allows the customer to fix an optical device at customer's option. The ergonomically handle with anti-Slip-Points are redesigned as well as the safety lever. As far as specs, type is blowback semi-automatic rifle. Barrel is 16 1/4 inch. heavy shroud over steel liner. Interior parts construction is similar, with authentic operating HK type rear sight. Overall length is 33.6 inches; weight empty is 6.7 pounds. Magazine is GSG manufactured 22 round. Own the rifle in the photo, or one of its identical mates for only $ 349.00.
