Description:
An unissued military or Police carbine bucket. This piece was acquired in a surplus store in Calgary Alberta in the 1960's . The piece is genuine but is unissued and unmarked. It takes an enfield carbine perfectly. The piece is built from heavy saddlery leather, seven with heavy cotton saddle thread and copper rivets. There are no markings whatsoever on the piece. It appears to have been built prior to WW2 and remained in stores. Unissued and unstained. it has been suggested that this piece may have been surplussed from RCMP stores in the 1950's but we are unable to confirm the same. An excellent saddle bucket in as new condition. See arms and accouterments of the mounted police page 147.
