Here is Federal’s American Eagle series ammunition in its tactical variant, factory number AE223B. Ammunition manufacturer, of course, is Federal Cartridge Company of Anoka, Minnesota. Construction takes Federal’s own brass, the best in our industry, loaded with Federal small rifle primers, also the best in our industry, with a 55 grain Full Metal Case Boattail Bullet. This round produces 3240 feet per second muzzle velocity in a 20 inch barreled rifle; and 1282 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Do the math. This is the equivalent of 25 twenty round boxes.
