This is an authentic WWII USN Robeson Shuredge fighting knife. Ther were several companies making this new style of fighting knife and Robeson is one of the scarcer brands that were made. This knife has a 7 inch blade and still holds a nice edge. The blade doesn't have any damage,but does have some patina developed over the last 70 years or so. The handle is in real nice shape. With the blade comes the MK2 USN scabbard which has some light scratches and loss of color,but that would be expected. The snap works nicely.It was used during the war so it isn't new,but it is in very nice shape and it is a nice example of a weapon used a lot in hand to hand combat in the Pacific Theater during WWII.
