Description:
$1695 Mauser .270 Winchester By Herman Grassle of Reutte, Austria built in 1955 with 23 3/4" Bohler Special Steel half round/half octagon barrel with an excellent bore. Barrel has full length integral rib with integral ramp front sight and two filled dovetail slots.French silver reciever with 80% coverage oak leaf engraving. Lever release floorplate also French silver engraved with a stag and gold inlayed cross. Chamois engraved on trigger guard. Double set triggers and tang safety. Leupold Vari-X II 2x7 scope with duplex reticle in Redfield rings and bases. Stocked in Austrian style with Bavarian cheekpiece, schnable forend, and skip line checkering. 14" LOP to older ventilated pad. 8lb 3oz as scoped. This piece shows definite hunting use but in overall good condition with excellent bore and mechanics and many nice features. The barrel alone, built today, would cost more than the price of the gun.
