Description:
A NEW full Custom .338 win. caliber  rifle by Ray Atkinson  using a 1935 Fabrique Nationale single C ring Mauser 98 action.   Surface ground ; Swift;(Blackburn) magazine that is .375 length and chamber cut to match so that you can seat the heavy 300 gr.  bullets out or .338 deep into the case to give you more powder space, higher velocity and at the same PSI as a standard .338 Win...., This was done to be capable of  using the  new long 300 gr. bullets and the longer Accubonds. They shoot extremely well in this gun..  Most .338 Win cannot handle this long bullet due to short  factory magazines and short factory chamber throats,.. The rifle is also extremely accurate with std. factory .338 Win. Federal  225 gr. ammo and 210 Nosler handloads, and with all handloads tested..I have throughly tested it for feed, function, and accuracy. All loads chronographed and documented. This is just an awesome rifle in every respect..guarenteed and ready to hunt.

I have load work documented, and it will compare with a 340 Wby with the bullets seated out to give it more powder space or you can just shoot std. 338 Factory ammo or handloads in  it.. and that information goes with the gun..Its ready to hunt with.

The barrel is a premium Lothar-Walthar barrel with a NECG barrel bandl swivel;   NECG barrel band front sight with gold face NECG partridge blade;  A Talley QD ghost peep serves as iron sights and is included; Talley scope bases are included; Timney 2.5 lb trigger; Dakota Mod. 70 3 pos. safety; Talley bolt handle; 2 cross bolts;  Swift staddle floor plate drop box magazine, holds extra rounds. Iron sight are sighted in 3 inches high at 100 yards..

The stock is Russian Circassian Walnut from Old World Walnut Inc.; High quality wood that is properly laid out and dry; has a European shadow line pancake cheek piece; 8.5" forend to a Ebony Forend tip; Silvers recoil pad,Talley two screw grip cap;checkered 24 LPI; A very English patterned stock based on a Jack Haugh pattern stock..Beautifully inletted.  The stock wood is darker than the photographs..

Partial trades and cash may be negociated.

Buyer pays ship and Ins.

I have marked down the price of this fine rifle to get it sold as because of a recent hand injury and I cannot shoot recoiling rifles at this time. This rifle is discounted from $5500.00. and guarenteed in every way.
