A very rugged fancy 16ga German double with nitro proofs, and 29 3/4" barrels and clean bores with a few freckles of corrosion.The scalloped frame and German walnut wood have a perfect fit on this Greener cross bolt. The frame is heavily hand chisel engraved with very fine scroll work . Left tube has PLUSSSTAHL, and the right tube has KRUPPESSEN. Left tube has a shallow dent about 5" from the muzzle, but this can be removed.Has profuse German Imperial proofs on the water table, but the gun has no name, and is therefore an export gun, possibly through a worldwide gun vendor like STOEGER. Metal color is a more flat blue, and not high polished, and is about 93%. Lock-up is good, and LOP is about 14 3/8" with a buffalo horn pressed butt-plate common on European shotguns like early Brownings! Comes with a European narrow leather sling. German walnut stocks have small field use dings, but nothing serious. Both bores have a choke of a tight FULL. Chambers 2 9/16 shells.
