This was a popular Civil War sidearm though never purchased by the Army. This one, SN 49500, has a 5" barre. The frame and cylinder retains approximately 50% of the original blue while the barrel has faded to a mostly grey patina. The rosewood grips are in very good shape with nearly all of the original finish remaining.
