Description:
This is a Baker Trap gun that the Blue Book of Gun Values state "The Baker SBT guns were of the highest quality". It is!!! The overall rates a 95% and shows little wear, excellent bluing with a few wear spots, double beads on the raised ventilated rib, Line borders and Scroll engraving with birds on one side and a hunting dog on the other. It has the original stock and forend that have a few safe dings but nothing that goes though the finish. When I purchased this 20+ years ago, I questioned a mismatch of checkering on the forend and stock (20 Lines Per Inch on the stock and 22 LPI on the forend) but was assured by other Baker owners that this was normal as they wanted to improve the firm hold on the right hand. The 30" barrel is optimal for this shotgun! This shotgun has been shot very little and has many years use left in it and is a treasure in any collection. I have watched people scoot right by Browning Midas Grades and Krieghoff Crown Grades to pick this one up! It has a 1.5 inch drop on the stock, a 14 5/8" LOP. and a Pachmayr white line pad. I has automatic ejectors and the famous Baker firing pin block to enhance safety. Due to recent surgeries, I am no longer able to shoot all the sports I love so am looking to have someone else enjoy my toys as much as I have.
