Mauser P-08, [42], Dated 1940, Ser 90XX h.
This is almost perfection, about 95% original finish The loss as usual is the side plate with a few pin pricks on the bottom edge, the muzzle, and the left frame rail with about 8-9 pin pricks on the front edge.
The barrel has very small area of barely noticeable pin pricks; probably the result of holster wear. The grips straps are quite clean with little or no graying. There is a little rub loss on the stock slot as is expected.
All parts match including the walnut grips. They are just about perfect, no chips or splits just the occasional flattened point.
The magazine is correct for the gun and is numbered 66XX. The frame is stamped Eagle/N and Eagle /656. All parts are correct and the gun seems to be quite tight and functions properly.
The bore has sharp bright rifling with a slight amount of graying.
A very lovely "42" showing very little use.....$1,995.
