Description:
Serial 30308 as made in 1926. Refitted (at Holland & Holland) with steel barrels (30-inch, 2 3/4 chambers, game rib, IC/IC, Nitro-proof without BP marks). Features: Gas-ported breech, hand-detachable locks, checkered butt. Measurements: LOP - 14 5/8, DAC - 1 3/8, DAH - 2 1/4, Cast off - 1/8, Weight 7 pounds (even). Condition: Barrels are straight with no evidence of dents or pitting. Receiver has thinning coin finish with dime-size area of pitting on right side near fence. Stock checkering is good and stock itself remains in very good condition with some thinning of finish. Forend wood has areas of impressions. Engraving: Fine scroll outline accents on receiver, guard, forend metal and lever. Gold "SAFE". Numeral "2" on lever, barrels and forend tip. ALSO have a spectacular Badminton 20 made in 1961 (full coverage, single trigger, beavertail, 15 LOP, 2 3/4, cased for $33K. Over 100 additional fine rifles, shotguns and pistols are also available.
