Description:
SOME BETTER PICTURES ATTACHED. THIS IS A MIGHTY PRETTY MARLIN MODEL 39 RIFLE of very early production, sn12xxx, .22 S,L & LR with 24" octagon barrel and a shiny excellent bore. The barrel, magazine tube and forearm cap retain 97-98% of the original factory blue. The receiver and lever exhibit 85% of the original case colors with a few areas of fading. Bolt, hammer and trigger retain 95% of their original blue showing some light handling wear. All markings are crisp and sharp with the vaunted star marking appearing on the tang. The walnut stocks rate excellent with a few light dings over the strong finish and, of course, the pistol grip displays that lovely Marlin S curve. The butt plate has a small chip at its toe. The rifle is equipped with the original front sight, a slot blank at the rear sight location and a Lyman combination rear aperture sight.
A TERRIFIC MARLIN 39 THAT HAS WONDERFUL CONDITION AND APPEAL!! INVESTMENT GRADE INDEED.
