Description:
Serial #360e, 9mm Para., 4 3/4? barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is an ?ac 44? coded pistol that has matching numbers on the frame, slide, barrel, and locking block with the metal retaining about 97% of the original blue finish that has silvered lightly at the muzzle as well as on the projecting edges and bearing surfaces. The wartime blue has turned to a mild purple on the frame and there is an import mark on the underside of the barrel. The original white and red paint is still present within the ?F? and ?S? indicators and the dark brown phenolic resin grips are in excellent shape with only a few minor surface scratches and small blemishes. The pistol comes with one Waffenamt marked and one unmarked magazine and is housed in an original 1944 dated, soft-sided brown holster with ?gxy? manufacturer's code (Gebr. Klinge, Lederwarenfabrik, Dresden-Loebtau). The leather is worn but still in fine, serviceable condition with some minor scuffs and surface scratches and only some light crazing on the closure tab. This is an excellent example of a late-war Walther P.38 that would make a great addition to any collection. FFL or C&R
