This is a fine condition Colt Model 1911 Mid production (1919)  Commercial model made right at the end of the first war. It retains at least 85% of the beautiful high luster factory blue finish with no marks or problems to finish aside from patina to the top of slide and grip straps. Really nice set of diamond checkered proper grips and original pre war commercially marked two tone magazine. Bore and action are like new as this gun has seen little use aside from  maybe sitting in a holster which caused the patina on high spots and exposed grip. Produced right at the beginning of Prohibition, this was the favored side arm during that era and saw extensive use by bootleggers and is featured prominently in all the old gangster movies and this is one lovely example.  Never touched or refinished , it remains in stellar condition without the usual ugly blotches often seen on these guns.
