Description:
Serial #5829, 7.5mm Swiss/7.5mm Cadet, 23" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This single shot rifle was designed to accept both the standard service round as well as the reduced power cadet round and has two sets of rear sight graduations: full power on the left (max. 1200 meters), cadet round on the right (max. 400 meters). The rifle has all matching numbers and retains 95-97% of the original blue finish with some silvering at the muzzle as well as along the projecting edges and surfaces. The bolt has a pale, pewter gray patina overall with some mild freckling and the dark brown Bakelite bolt handle is intact and in excellent condition. The stock has a crisp Swiss cartouche on the right side of the butt with numerous minor handling marks and surface blemishes scattered about the original varnish finish as well as a set of initials scratched into the wood on the left side: "AZ". The rifle comes with an original leather sling in lightly worn but still serviceable condition as well as a complete knife bayonet and scabbard outfit that match the condition of the rifle perfectly. This is a great and seldom seen Swiss rifle, complete with accessories, and is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
