RARE COLT 1ST MODEL 1851 NAVY REVOLVER SERIAL # 1084 CIRCA 1850. .36 cal. 7 ½” barrel with “ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY” barrel address. 100% original and never on the market, newly found example from a south western Virginia family. All matching serial numbers including the loading lever and the wedge. Very good plus overall with crisp, dark old patina on metal. Some very light salt and pepper. Fine markings with 50% cylinder scene. Excellent brass with deep original dark finish. Factory walnut grips with 90% of the original factory varnish. Perfect working order and with the original cylinder safety pins. Even retains all the original first model more “dome” topped screws. Extremely scarce with only about 1100-1200 made and with a very low survival rate due to the fact that all were made in 1850 and went west with the Gold Rush.
