Description:
Early Marlin Model 1893 Take-Down Rifle - Cal .30-30 - 26" Octagon Bbl. - SN 281XXX(1903). Absolutely perfect bore and action and very tight take-down assy. Metal is excellent ++ overall with sharp lettering and markings - barrel retains 99% blue and shows a couple of very minor rust spots that will clean up - magazine tube has 90% + blue with slight thinning. Receiver and hammer retain 98% bright case color - buttplate has drifted to about 85% - very slight blue wear to forend cap. Wood is excellent and undamaged showing only a very few light surface marks from normal handling and retains 97% of its' original finish. An extremely sharp and well maintained 111 year old Marlin 1893 in all original and excellent + condition with the scarce and desirable take-down feature in a great caliber. An outstanding shooter, collectible, and investment ! Cody verification letter included.
