Winchester 1886 .40-82 caliber Saddle Ring Carbine. Made in 1889. This is a rare and very fine carbine. Most of these are normally used pretty hard. This gun has just about all of the original blue on the barrel. The receiver still has bright on the barrel. The receiver still has bright case colors, as does the lever and hammer. The butt plate has fade out, but you can still see traces. Action works perfectly and the bore is very sharp but has lost its luster. A couple minor spots of pitting. Wood is very good. A way above average 1886 saddle ring carbine! Very attractive gun!
