Ballard Rifle made by Brown Manufacturing Company Newburyport, Mass. Approximately 1700 produced. Produced by Brown and only 1000 were of the military 30"" barrel configuration. Bore is excellent. Barrel has approximately 90% of a blue/brown finish. Stocks are very good with most of the original varnish. Action works perfectly. Fine example of a Ballard military rifle.
