COPY OF U.S. MODEL 1863 ZOUAVE RIFLE BY ZOLI FOR LYMAN WITH BAYONET AND SLING CIRCA 1960’S. .58 caliber 33” barrel stamped at breech “ANTONIO ZOLI & CO. MADE IN ITALY” and on the lock “LYMAN-MIDDLEFIELD, CONN.”. Lock plate stamped forward of the hammer with a “FEDERAL EAGLE”. Excellent with 99% plus case colors on the lock and hammer and all the barrel blue. Brass bands and mounts which has turned dark from age. Patchbox with extra nipples and the ramrod worm. Walnut stock excellent with only a few minor handling marks and a tiny sliver missing at the right rear barrel pin port. Fine repro leather sling that is correct to type. Near mint brass hilt saber bayonet and scabbard. Bayonet ricasso stamped “INDIA” and of good quality as well. Working order and probably unfired. Mint rifled bore.
