Description:
Winchester Model 1892 SRC - Cal. .44W.C.F. - 20" Bbl. - 1/2 Magazine - SN 780XXX (1915). Excellent bore and action - metal is excellent overall but shows a few areas of minor surface rust on barrel in the area arounf the rear sight and some light pitting on top tang - barrel retains about 85% -90% thinning blue - receiver about 80% to 85% blue with some thinning and wear on the bottom - buttplate about 75% blue - sharp markings - excellent screws. Wood is undamaged with no cracks or splits and shows some light dings and scratches from normal use - right side of buttstock shows some surface wear that has been touched up but wood has not been sanded or refinished. Overall a very nice and crisp old 1892 SRC that is essentialy all original and in the very desirable .44 caliber and "button" magazine configuration showing moderate use and honest wear. Will make a super shooter and collectible at a reasonable price.
