Mec Gar magazines are the only magazines as good as, or better than, original factory mags. They lock the slides open like they're supposed to on the last shot; they free-fall eject correctly; and most important, they are always reliable, even with months of staying loaded. Here is what the factory says about their magazines. Mec Gar magazines are constructed from certified carbon steel and feature a heat treated housing and a hi-impact polymer follower and floorplate. These are the best. Mec-Gar is the manufacturer of the factory magazines for most current US Production Sigs in 9mm that accept double-stacked magazines, including P-226, 228, and 229. These Mec Gar magazines are constructed of all steel springs, magazine bodies, and spring plates with high impact polymer followers and polymer or steel buttplates. The butt caps to these genuine Mec Gar 10 shot magazines for the Sig P-226 9mm Pistol is extended polymer. Factory code is MGP22610B, holds 10 rounds of 9mm Ammunition, 8 fewer rounds than MecGar number P22618. We are sometimes in stock on the 22618s; when we are, they are the same price.
