This example is extremely nice condition with at least 85% of the factory original finish. Bore is excellent with strong as new lock up and no wobble. Has most of the case colors on hammer and trigger. 125year old plus aged ivories have mellowwed to a lovely golden color that cannot be replicated and fit the gun like they have been together since day one. These guns were extremely popular on the frontier and especially in the far west edges of Texas and Mexico during the 1870-80's and are a true relic of western history. The beautiful double loop holster is stamped 44 and has simple border tooling. The money belt has typical 1870's roller buckle and has loops for both the .44 pistol as well as loops for large lever action rifle cartridges.
