Description:
This is a Stevens Model 44 Single Shot Lever Action Rifle in caliber 32-40. I have been advised that this is a model made late in the production run. After the addition of a lug in the hammer, as seen in the picture. It has a 1/2 round 1/2 octagon barrel which measures 7/8" at the muzzle. Rear sight is a buckhorn with elevating ramp. Bluing on the barrel is nice with a rubbed spot at the muzzle. Case coloring on the receiver is fading, but still visible. Wood is nice with some handling marks.Has a chip left front forearm as shown in new picture number two. Has a crescent metal butt plate. Action is nice and tight. Bore looks nice to my 80 yr. old eyes. Gun must ship to an FFL dealer of your choice. Ships three days after funds clear. Pay by bank certified cashiers check or USPS money order. Ships by UPS ground. Ships in a hard case inside a cardboard outer box. Buyer responsible for all shipping and handling charges.
