A clean early Ketland & Co. London proofed flintlock pistol with a 7 1/4" long round barrel of about 60 cal. The proofs on the barrel are about worn down but are proofs in an oval, not crossed scepters! Overall length is about 12 1/2" long and gun has a brass butt-cap, and cut-out side plate. the lock works good, and the frizzen spring may have been replaced at one time. Metal on the barrel is grey with thicker surface corrosion near the muzzle from being fired often! Has brass ferrules, and a wooden ram-rod with a brass tip.
