WWII Japanese (Signed) Flag. This flag known as a Good Luck Flag, in Japan known as hinomaru yosegaki and translated in the Japanese language (????????) was a traditional gift for Japanese servicemen deployed during the military campaigns for the Empire of Japan, though most notably during World War II. The flag given to a soldier’s was a national flag signed by friends and family often with short messages wishing the soldier victory, safety, and good luck. This unique flag (measures 28” x 41”) has a large red sun on the front and has Japanese Characteristics and three red stamps in Japanese. The top edges have sewn blue tip support with string for hanging. The overall condition is very good. Inv.: # J 2753
