Sharps 1863 New Model Cavalry Carbine .52 Cal. This original Civil War Era Saddle Ring Carbine has no visible military markings. It is marked on the barrel "New Model 1863". The barrel markings are partially obscured by rust. The bore is near bright with good rifling but some pitting. We believe this gun is all original. The sight on the gun is a repro but the original (according to the previous owner) is included. The tape primer feed is intact and appears to function.
