Here is a nice example of the rare open top first model Lightning that has been restored. No  pits or any evidence of metal rust whatsoever.  Stocks appears to be original untouched.  Bore is decent but not perfect on this classic 38-40 repeater.  It has strong profile with very light scattered pitting that would not affect accuracy.  Action is as crisp and snappy as new and must have been used very little. ( I have owned several minty original models and know how a virtually mint action feels) Serial# is 77XX.  Sights are standard - correct and clean.  Mag tube has absolutely no dents or flaws.
