#3825 Marston & Knox standard size pocket Pepperbox, 4” barrel length, VG+/Fine smooth metal with almost no pitting at all and only minor wear. Fine markings, mechanics, and grips. Just a very decent and relatively uncommon pepperbox. The pepperboxes were really the first popular “revolvers” and highly sought after in the years between 1837-1850, after which Colt finally produced their Pocket Model and cornered the traditional revolver market …but in that short “period of the pepperbox”, there were several American manufacturers, of which Marston & Knox were one of the later entries.
