It is proportionately small for either a woman or perhaps a youth and made in the Bedford style with the sloping wrist, fancy patchbox, and several inlays and a cheekrest. “Asheford – Warranted” marked typical trading post flintlock action, barrel is marked with the makers initials, several tastefully done inlays. No serious wear or damage aside of a broken ramrod, and for a gun that is well over two hundred years old, it’s in VERY crisp condition and is a very handsome and well proportioned small gun.
