Description:
Serial #34153, 7.5mm Swiss Revolver, 4 1/2” octagon barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This revolver has all matching numbers and retains 99% of an armory re-applied blue finish with some mild silvering and fading along the projecting edges and a light turn-ring on the cylinder. The grooved wooden grips are in excellent condition with only some very mild wear and handling marks in the original varnish. The lock-up is rock solid and the mechanism functions flawlessly. These revolvers were the brainchild of Rudolf Schmidt (of Schidt-Rubin fame) and are unusually robust. They remained in general service until almost 1950 (some sources even state that small numbers were still issue items until 1962) and have the fit and precision one would expect from Swiss engineering. This example is in excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
