*** SOLD *** *** SOLD *** Outstanding and very rare Remington Whitmore Hammer Lifter Model 1873 10 gauge (serial #62) having 28" damascus barrels in the highest grade offered in the Model 1873, which is Grade 5. This Remington double is engraved on the top rib with E. Remington & Sons New York & London making it only "one of 12" known according to Charles Semmer's book on the Remington doubles. This old SxS, which is 141 years old, remains in excellent condition with sharp Grade 5 engraving, all parts matching, no dents or nicks in the barrels, no loose ribs and just gorgeous damascus barrels. The stock, with beautiful figure, remains tight to the receiver with no cracks. Lock up is like a vault and the bores are shiney and free of pitting. This SxS is in better condition than many guns I have seen that are 100 years newer. Don't miss your chance to own such a difficult to find high grade Remington, which most likely you will never see again offered up for sale.
