Springfield 1903 .30-06 Sprg caliber rifle. 1914 production receiver with a 1914 barrel date. Probably went to Greece post WWII as it has the Greek type of refinish. The WWII stock has dents and dings with one patch. The bore has strong rifling with some very minor frosting. Good-very good condition. This rifle has a serial number under one million, which is traditionally considered to be potentially unsafe to fire due to improper heat treating. Because of this and the possible danger involved, this rifle is sold as a collectors item only and is not to be fired.
