English Flintlock rifle. Gentleman's private purchase. 38"" barrel overall 54"". Four pipe musket, in the Brown Bess style. Has brass furniture with ""SS"" engraved on the brass side plate, ""Clark"" on hammer side plate, and London on barrel. Barrel has correct prof marks. Has nice checkering on forend has wood slivers missing on both sides of barrel done a long time ago. The wood is rounded where the slivers are missing. Showing it happened in service use, back in the day. A wonderful commercial flintlock era weapon.
