Factory Electroless Nickle finish, consisting of high polish sides. Top and underside as well as grip area is lightly sand blasted. The magazine floor plate is also highly polished. Pistol is minty, possibly unfired except factory test fired. I also have the original box, some of the papers are missing from it. This pistol is absolutely stunning!! The Colt factory also highlighted this 45 A.C.P. pistol by using a blued trigger and blued grip screws. I cannot at all recall the last time I saw a factory nickled government model 1911. There are a few Satin Finished 1911 Series '70 out there, but try to find a high polish 1911 and you will pretty much strike out. This is one real classy pistol that would make any Colt collector say WOW!when they see this pistol. This finish is considered a rare finish from Colt. Search for Harry Viezens on google.
