Description:
Vintage 20" double set trigger carbine that has been modified to a short stock with an ebody tip fitted. Barrel was replaced w identical contour minus the rear sight bulge, in 257 Roberts and the spool mag modified as well, by "H Durham" whose name is on the barrel. H reused the barrel band and the banded front sight but the rear sight was lost and the front bead replaced with a Lyman. A dovetail was milled in front ring and 3 holes drilled, and safety was bobbed for scope. He installed a Lyman bolt-release aperture sight but that sight is missing (the milled bolt release is present). He fitted a PM pad but retained the original grip cap. The good news is the bore is excellent, triggers work correctly, and this 6lb handy little rifle feeds and cycles 257 R ammo.
