The 5 1/8" barrel shows a Damascus pattern and is 1/2 octagon and 1/2 ribbed. All metal has a pleasing patina. The wood retains most of its original finish. There is an unusual safety arrangement over the percussion cap ( see the picture). This may indicate that this pistol was very neatly converted from a flintlock to a percussion fireing system. The overall length is 10 & 1/4 ". The action is strong., althoug h the hammer at times does slip from full cock to 1/2 cock position. It still falls with enough force to fire the weapon. Antique- no FFL required. A handsome, well made pistol. Looks like the original ramrod. A no interest payment plan is available. . See all listings under "Romsey".
