1903 MANNLICHER SCHOENAUER FULL STOCK CARBINE 6.5 x 54. Barrel length 17 3/4" (approx) and in very good condition, DOUBLE SET TRIGGERS, ORIGINAL CLEANING ROD in butt stock, very old time appropriate sling. The top of the receiver has never been drilled or tapped. All #s match. Equipped with a very clear center post with cross hair scope, HUNTER MODEL SCOPE & SIDE MOUNTING BY RUDOLPH NOSKE of San Carlos, Calif. R. Noske scopes were the first American made scopes with internal adjustments. All Noskes have a 7/8" (22mm) tube & were essentially handmade. Present day value for the scope is approx $400.00 + the mounting. Barrel has GERMANY stamped on the left hand side forward of the receiver. A very good authority on M/S believes that was done in 1939 in Germany. That is consistent with the R. Noske Scope time period. Many of R. Noske's scopes were exported to Europe. The carbine is in remarkable original condition. I doubt you will find any better specimen on the market today. Feel free to call me for more info or more pictures. 530 676 7307 I have an additional 6 Mannlicher Schoenauers / Steyr Mannlichers for sale as I am selling the remainder of my collection. I also have approx 270 rounds of 6.5 x 54 loaded ammo with 1938 & 1939 Nazi head stamps in original boxes plus a few boxes of Czech which are also very collectable. I also have approx 440 rounds of live 8mm x 56, 1938/39 Nazi head stamped with the clips on most of them. I believe I have 80 or so rounds in a current model plastic cartridge box (vintage ammo) otherwise the rest are in the original Nazi boxes/packages with the proper head stamps and clips.
