Description:
This two piece full top box remains sealed on one side and can not be opened. Label shows "Bent D" trademark with rimless rifle cartridge (no headstamp) and green shotshell with "D.C.Co No 20 Sovereign" headstamp. this was used from 1916 to 1928. Sovereign shells were built from 1911 to 1922, so this box must date from 1916 to 1922 period. Label shows light soiling with a few chips. Label was Dupont callout and shows 3 1/4 drams powder 1 1/8 oz No 5 shot load code SK. Box bottom has an added 'R. Duncan Sporting Goods Montreal" oval logo in blue ink. A sealed example of this colorful box.
