For sale, A very interesting colt revolver. I do not have a letter for this gun. This revolver has a steel frame and a brass backstrap. The trigger guard has been marked as a colt factory rework. The serial nimber on the frame dates to 1900. However, Colt did not produce a SAA in .38 special until the 1930s. So it was our understanding that the gun was shipped back to Colt and had the caliber changed sometime after 1930. The timing and function is amazing and smooth. As seen in the pics, the bluing has worn but there is no apparent rust or pitting. This is a very interesting Colt, would be a great investment or a weekend shooter.
