Description:
For sale is a rare original Winchester Model 1894 30WCF Short Rifle. The rifle has a 20 inch octagon barrel, cresent rifle butt plate, original sights and a letter form Cody Firearms Museum. The bore is pitted but very shootable with strong lands and grooves. The wood is very good with the normal dings and scratches. There may be an old repair on the forearm that I tried to show in the pictures. I can't tell for sure if it is a repair or not.. The rear sight dovetail is 4 inches from the receiver and the forearm measures 8 3/8 inches which is typical for the short rifle. The only information in the factory letter is the date the serial number was applied, November 23, 1908. This is a very nice example of the short rifle. SOLD!
