After 40 plus years of enjoying it we have decided to sell our Winchester collection. Here is one of the most outstanding pieces in it. It is an exceptionally nice Special Order l873 38 W.C.F. Rifle. It has 80% Plus bright blue and at least 90% original wood finish . The Special order 28 inch octagon Barrel has an excellent bore. It is fitted with a tang peep sight. A letter from the Winchester Gun Museum dated july 8, 1975, states that it featured the 28 inch barrel and a plain trigger and was shipped from the factory on July 10, 1886. The letter is, of course, included with this historic rifle. We feeo that we've placed a very fair market price on it but are open to any and all cash or possible trade offers.
