Description:
Serial #PF325217, .303 British, 25" barrel with a fine, bright bore that has a few traces of freckling within the grooves. This Fazakerly-made rifle has retained about 85-90% of the original black Suncorite finish with plum-brown and gray underlying metal at the muzzle and on the exposed edges where the finish flaked off. The bolt is numbered to the rifle, an adjustable rear sight is fitted, and a small import stamp is present on the muzzle. The buttstock, forend, and handguards are in very good condition with minor handling marks and small surface blemishes throughout, especially around the receiver and along the sides of the wrist and stock. The underside of the forend is matching numbered (faintly but still legible) and there is an added varnish over the handling marks. The rifle is accompanied by a single matching numbered magazine as well as a matching numbered No. 9 Mk. 1 bayonet and scabbard which are in fine-near excellent condition with some mild spots of freckling along the sides of the blade, mostly within the fullers. This is a complete and all matching No. 4 ensemble and would make a terrific addition to a collection. {Ref.
