Description:
For sale is a beautiful example of an Ithaca 4E Flues Single Barrel Trap 12 ga. shotgun with the early style engraving. This shotgun has a straight grip stock, schnabel push button forend, 32 inch vent rib barrel, two ivory bead sights, Jostam recoil pad, 14 inch LOP, an was manufactured in 1916. The wood is very fancy with fine checkering, no cracks and only a few very light marks. The Jostam recoil pad is hard so it should be replaced if a person wanted to use the shotgun. The bluing is 95% with the case colors about 85%. The bore measures .730 with a choke of .035. The engraving is wonderful with a pointer on the left, a setter on the right, a duck on the bottom, a woodcock on the trigger guard, and excellent scroll work. This is a very, very pretty old trap gun that has seen little use. What a great addition to a collection! Sale Pending
