All wood and metal original to gun. Metal shows traces of original case colors to inside of action, areas of original blue on barrel. Most of the rest of the metal has a nice brown patina, with small areas of bare metal. No pitting to outside metal. Wood shows dings and gouges throughout both sides of stock. Appears that wood may have had a coat of finish at some point in its' life, but would have been distant past, if so. There is a unit or rack number on top of stock, in front of butt plate, inspectors' stamp outline barely visible, Stamp itself not visible. That said, bore itself is bright and sharp, with very little deterioration. Will make a fine shooter. SOLD Antique: Yes |
