A Winchester Repeating Arms Co. two piece box of 50 .44 Caliber Shot Cartridges for the Winchester Model 1873 rifle and other .44 Caliber rifles. A "varmit" cartridge box which is seldom encountered. They were extensively utilized by just about anyone who lived or hunted out West, making them somewhat common at the time, but scarce today. The Marbles "Game Getter" also used these cartridges.
