This Smith & Wesson has all early features such as grooved hammer to reduce friction, early style grips and early style inspector acceptance stamp. The bore is clean and bright. The cylinders are also clean and bright. Pistol does show service use and shooting. This pistol however was cared for which is a real plus for such a early issued pistol. There is a very small chip on the left grip in the inside bottom base. Otherwise the grips are intact. The pistol has not been arsenal redone or altered after the Great War. The bluing would rate a 94-95% condition. The action works great! This Smith & Wesson is a real find for a early war time issued pistol that has not been restored or altered or been through a government rebuild program. The Great War when the Americans entered in 1917 is almost a Hundred Years ago. This pistol is a great survivor of that time. This revolver should make a World War One collector or Smith & Wesson collector real happy to own. Search for Harry Viezens on google. Curio&Relic Hee F. No. 107 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
